Let's Write for What's Right

February 21, 2025 @ 5:00 pm 6:30 pm

Lawmakers are considering more than a half-dozen bills this year that do little more than erode the rights of transgender Wyomingites while stoking fear and hatred amid discriminatory rhetoric.

The far-reaching bills, which include everything from prohibiting trans students from using the bathrooms that match their gender identity to codifying the definition of "male" and "female" as the gender assigned to someone at birth, represent an unprecedented, coordinated effort to deny trans Wyomingites their freedom, safety, and dignity.

It doesn't sound like the Equality State is living up to its name, does it?

It's time to remind our elected officials that they can't legislate away our existence. Join us at one of these letter-writing parties on Friday, February 21, 5 p.m.

We'll start with a live-streamed message from ACLU of Wyoming Advocacy Director Antonio Serrano, then we'll spend the rest of the time writing letters to our elected leaders.
