Zoe Hoffmann has joined the ACLU of Wyoming as its new development director.

As development director, Hoffmann is responsible for helping donors accomplish their philanthropic goals and overseeing a growing giving program that will enhance the capacity of the ACLU’s efforts to defend freedom for the next generation in Wyoming.

“Growing the resources and support needed to sustain our work is critical to protecting the civil rights and liberties of people across Wyoming,” said Libby Skarin, ACLU of Wyoming acting executive director. “With the addition of Zoe, the ACLU’s team is even stronger and better prepared to meet the grave threats to civil rights and civil liberties that have been multiplying across our state. With Zoe’s track record of success and commitment to our communities, we know she will bring a personal touch to donor engagement that will ensure our organization continues to thrive in the coming years.”

Hoffmann brings deep experience in marketing, entrepreneurship and fundraising to the ACLU of Wyoming. In her previous role, Hoffmann raised funds for and cofounded a digital health care company to make access to care for adults with chronic conditions easier and more affordable, with a focus on rural areas.

“Protecting the constitutional rights of the people of Wyoming is vital to the future of our state and the well-being of our most vulnerable communities,” Hoffmann said. “I’m truly honored to join the ACLU and to use my skills to serve my community and an organization that advocates for systemic change. It’s a privilege to further this important work here.”

Hoffmann is a graduate of San Jose State University. She lives in Jackson with her family and their two dogs.

About the ACLU of Wyoming

The American Civil Liberties Union of Wyoming is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of civil liberties and civil rights. The ACLU of Wyoming is part of a three-state chapter that also includes North Dakota and South Dakota. The team in Wyoming is supported by staff in those states.

The ACLU believes freedoms of press, speech, assembly, and religion, and the rights to due process, equal protection and privacy, are fundamental to a free people.  In addition, the ACLU seeks to advance constitutional protections for groups traditionally denied their rights, including people of color, women, and the LGBTQ communities. The ACLU of Wyoming carries out its work through selective litigation, lobbying at the state and local level, and through public education and awareness of what the Bill of Rights means for the people of Wyoming.
